Why I Do what I do

I thought confidence came from being desired. It actually came from becoming capable.

For most of my life, I never really felt comfortable in my own skin. In college, post-college, going out with friends… I always kind of felt like I was performing femininity instead of embodying confidence. Example: no amount of makeup, clothes, attention, or trying to fit some image actually made me feel secure.

But the gym did something different for me.

The first time I started seeing tangible progress — lifting heavier dumbbells, running farther, building muscle — it shifted something mentally. I remember thinking, ‘Wait… I’m actually crushing this.’

That confidence was earned. It wasn’t aesthetic anymore. It was capability. The through-line isn’t actually “fitness” — it’s identity. It's all about

• searching for worth

• trying to control chaos

• chasing validation

• realizing discipline can become self-punishment

• then eventually building a life/body/business that actually feels aligned.
